NOW IN OUR EIGHTH YEAR
F. I. G. started life in December 2003, when a group of foreigners who had settled here wanted to give something back to their adopted community. F. I. G. was set up under the umbrella of FETAV, a local Turkish charitable foundation in order to keep within Turkish legal requirements. F. I. G. has now developed into a permanent charity that raises money for the benefit of local children their health and their education. From small beginnings we have grown to running a charity shop which we open 5 days a week. We also run a weekly coffee morning to meet and make new friends and organize other activities such as a craft fair and enjoyable evening meals.. All our workers are volunteers, so our overheads remain nominal.
